Heritage Open Days - George Street Chapel 2011
We are open for visitors for the whole of Heritage Open Days 2011 - 9th and 10th September from 10am.
Heritage Open Days web site
Guided tours of the first Independent Methodist Chapel in Oldham. Go beneath the Chapel to experience 'live below' in the surviving 'cellar dwellings'.
The chapel is now owned by Age Concern Oldham who want to restore the important Grade II* listed building as a heritage resource and function rooms.
Our bid to the HLF will be considered on 2 December, 2011.
We also need help, and money, to restore the pipe organ - so if you have spare £70,000 come along and make a donation!
Help us achieve our objectives.
